The Rox swept the three game series dropping Thunder Bay's second half record to 13-15. Matt Cooper (Bellevue College) made a spot start for the Cats and took the loss to fall to 0-2. Cooper pitched seven innings and allowed six runs on 14 hits. The righthander walked one and struck out six. The Cats managed only three hits off St. Cloud starter Billy Soule as he went eight innings and fanned seven batters. The Cats now travel to Rochester Sunday to play the last place Honkers in a two game series. James Buckelew (Belmont) will pitch the opener for Thunder Bay at 2:05 p.m. ET. The lefthander has made 10 appearances and is 3-3 with a 5.50 ERA. |
