The Border Cats dropped both ends of their doubleheader Saturday night to the Waterloo Bucks 3-2 and 7-0 before 1,011 fans at Subway Field.  In the opener, the Cats rallied from a 3-0 deficit with two runs in the bottom of the 6th inning and then had the tying run at third base and winning run at first with none out in the last of the 7th, but Bucks closer Kellen Camus struck out three Thunder Bay batters in a row to end the game.  Catcher Danny Bethea (St. John's) made his 2012 debut with the Cats and went 2-4 with a run scored.  James Buckelew (Belmont) took the loss to fall to 0-2.  The lefthander pitched three innings and allowed six hits and three runs.  Buckelew walked three and struck out three.  In the second game, the Cats managed only four hits as their record dropped to 11-14.  Kyle Lombardo (St. John's) went 2-3 in the nightcap.  Wes Parsons (Jackson State) suffered his first loss of the season to slip to 4-1.  Parsons went four innings and gave up seven hits and five runs (three earned).  The righthander walked two and struck out four.  The Cats have today off before opening a five game road trip Monday night in St. Cloud with the first of two games against the Rox.  Blake Fonfara (Lipscomb University) is the scheduled starter in the opener for Thunder Bay.  The southpaw has appeared in five games and is 2-1 with a 3.32 ERA.
