Following a 10 hour overnight bus ride, the Border Cats battled back from an early 4-1 deficit to knock off the Bucks 10-6 in Waterloo on Tuesday night. Omar Cotto (USC) broke a 6-6 tie with a 6th inning grand slam as the Cats opened the five game series in Iowa by improving their record to 2-4. The righthander allowed two unearned runs on three hits with one walk and four strikeouts. Thunder Bay starter Matt Cooper (Bellevue College) was knocked out after one inning as he gave up four runs on five hits.
