Following a 10 hour overnight bus ride, the Border Cats battled back from an early 4-1 deficit to knock off the Bucks 10-6 in Waterloo on Tuesday night.  Omar Cotto (USC) broke a 6-6 tie with a 6th inning grand slam as the Cats opened the five game series in Iowa by improving their record to 2-4.  It was Cotto's third home run of the season and made a winner out of Wes Parsons (Jackson State CC).  Parsons improved to 6-1 as he pitched six innings in relief.  The righthander allowed two unearned runs on three hits with one walk and four strikeouts.  Thunder Bay starter Matt Cooper (Bellevue College) was knocked out after one inning as he gave up four runs on five hits.  Jordan McCoy (Nicholls State) inherited a one-out bases loaded jam in the bottom of the 9th inning, but got a double play ball to end the game for his eighth save.  Cotto finished the night 3-5 with two runs scored, Scott Donley (Indiana) went 2-6 with a two-run single and a run scored and Brett Kay (Illinois State) went 3-5 and scored once.  The Cats and Bucks meet again tonight at 7:35 p.m. ET.  Dan Ludwig (Belmont) will make his sixth start of the season.  The lefthander is 2-2 with a 7.22 earned run average.
